Learn the fundamentals of surfing in our beginner surf classes! We discuss the importance of ocean safety, how to identify rip currents and how to read ocean conditions. We warm up with some surf specific stretches, and then we practice standing up on the board on the beach before we get in the water. After that it’s into the ocean to learn how to paddle properly and catch your first wave!
There is over an hour of hands on practice in the water. Surfboard and leash are provided. These classes are taught at no more than 1 instructor per 5 students.
