Participate in Kitty Hawk Kites 3rd Annual Kayak Fishing Tournament held at the NEW Kitty Hawk Kites location in Waves (sound side across from Rodanthe Pier). The tournament starts at 7am and all participants MUST attend the MANDATORY captains meeting on Oct. 11 at 5pm at the Kitty Hawk Kites Waves location.

Awards will be given for the largest speckled trout, flounder, puppy drum, and striped bass. The top category is the Grand Slam for the largest of all 4 species. All fish must be caught within a 50 mile radius of the tournament headquarters. All competitors are required to have a camera and will be given a measuring device, identifying marker, and a score sheet. A picture of each fish will be taken against the measuring stick with the identifying marker and kayak in the picture. Competitors are to be back at tournament headquarters by 5:00pm. All pictures will be developed and turned in to the tournament headquarters for judging and awards. Prizes will include a Kayak Angler Package and other kayaking and fishing gear. A mandatory Captain’s Meeting will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 5:00pm at the tournament headquarters.
