Kite Jam Kiteboarding Competition

June 26th - 27th, 2010

The annual Kitty Hawk Kites “Kite Jam,” a kiteboarding competition, is scheduled for June 26-27, 2010, at the Kitty Hawk Kites Kiteboarding Resort in Waves, NC: Waves Village (mile post 40). This two day event, held each day from 10am-4pm, features some sick Outer Banks Kiteboarders. Haven't seen kiteboarding? Check out some of our videos on our YouTube channel.

Waves Village has all your vacation needs: shopping, food, equipment rentals like kayaks and paddleboards, and more. It is the only FREE kiteboarding launch site in the Outer Banks--and one of the only ones in the world!

The event will have competitions like the long jump, timed races, slider jam session, capture the flag, and more. Representatives from companies like Cabrinha, Ozone, and HQ Kites will be on site to show off the latest kiteboarding gear and power kites. Kitty Hawk Kites will offer free power kite lessons throughout the two day event.
