13th Annual Ocean Games

Join Kitty Hawk Kites at the Ramada Plaza in Kill Devil Hills (mile post 9.5) for the 12th Annual Ocean Games! On Saturday, August 25, bring your crew out to the beach behind the Ramada for a day of fun!

Ocean Games is the best day at the beach all summer! We'll have kayak races all day long. Anyone who wants to rent a kayak or paddleboard can do so for free! Have you seen pictures of last year's sand castle building contest. All participants receive a prize of their choice just for sculpting some sand. If weather permits, we'll teach participants how to fly steerable kites. If you haven't tried this, you need to!

During the day, Kitty Hawk Kites staff will be on site to answer all your questions about the days events, our activities, or anything about the Outer Banks. We'll help you get set up with life jackets, paddles, and help you get your boat or board out past the breakers. If you already have experience in a kayak or paddleboard, try surfing the waves!
