Kitty Hawk Kites Opens New Kiteboarding Resort

Rodanthe, NC (October 25, 2008) - Kitty Hawk Kites has expanded on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, opening the Kitty Hawk Kites Kiteboarding Resort in Waves, NC, one of the best kiteboarding destinations in the country.

Kitty Hawk Kites opened the Kiteboarding Center in the fall of 2008. The resort is composed of a kiteboarding shop, a kiteboarding school and a demo center. Kitty Hawk Kites Kiteboarding Experts are on site to assist with any needs and the new kiteboarding school will offer lessons to all skill levels 7 days a week. At the new resort, the North America Demo Rental Center allows kiteboarders to try out the newest kiteboarding equipment. Kiteboarders will find an atmosphere stocked with all their needs, including music, showers, air compressors, large deck, wireless Internet access, and much more.

The location of this new Kiteboarding Resort boasts the best riding conditions in North America. The constant winds allow individuals to kiteboard consistently while the miles of shallow water creates an amazing flat water riding paradise. In addition, kiteboarders can ride in confidence knowing that the riding area is composed of a sandy shoreline and bottom, only inches below the water surface.

Additional shops, including Life is good and the Fudgery, are located within the shopping center. Upon completion, the resort will host two condominium-style lodges as well as a restaurant with an open view of the water and riders. The two condo buildings each hold 9 units, with each unit boasting 2,000 square feet in size. Each unit is three bedrooms, 3 baths, and completely furnished. The condos are currently under construction with plans to open in May 2009.
