Kitty Hawk Kites Sponsors Festival of Trees for Non-Profit Funding

Outer Banks, NC (December 2008) - Kitty Hawk Kites recently participated in the annual Festival of Trees event, auctioning off a fully decorated Christmas tree to gain funding for a non-profit organization.

Kitty Hawk Kites was a sponsor of the event, decorating a full size Christmas tree in gifts and holiday décor. It consisted of hang gliding lessons, kayak tours, toys, games, ornaments, stuffed animals, and kiteboarding packages. The tree sold for over $650 and was one of the top ten trees receiving the highest bids during the auction.

The Festival of Trees is an annual event in the Outer Banks, held by Hotline, a non-profit organization. The organization is a crisis intervention and prevention program which aids Outer Banks residents involved with domestic and sexual abuse. The Festival of Trees is one of the most successful events held by Hotline, gaining needed financial support to continue the production of Hotline programs.

Hotline raised over $10,000 during the 2008 Festival of Trees and will use the money to support battered women in the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
