Kitty Hawk Kites to be Featured on The Price is Right

Outer Banks, NC (March 2009) - Kitty Hawk Kites will be featured on the game show, The Price is Right, on Wednesday, March 11, 2009, after donating a kiteboarding package to be used in the showcase portion of the show.

Kitty Hawk Kites donated a prize to The Price is Right to promote the Outer Banks as one of the leading destinations in kiteboarding recreation. The show will air this Wednesday, March 11, on CBS at 11a.m. Eastern Time. 

The Price is Right is currently in its 37th season, and holds the record for being the longest running game show on television history. Originally airing in 1972, the show gained national recognition for then host, Bob Barker, and the phrase “Come on Down.” Barker accepted 17 Daytime Emmy Awards before leaving the show to current host, Drew Carey. 

The Kitty Hawk Kites kiteboarding package includes a 2008 Cabrinha Revolver HD 11 meter kiteboarding kite, a Cabrinha Prodigy 148 kiteboard, a Cabrinha 2N1s Powerdrive control bar, and a Kitty Hawk Kites “Way To Fly” package, composed of a three-hour land and powerkite course and a three-hour first water lesson.
