What should I bring? Do I need my own fishing gear?
No need for bait, tackle or a fishing license the Miss Oregon Inlet II has you covered!
One cooler for lunch and another cooler to keep what you catch. Sun screen, sun glasses or a hat are recommended. Last but not least you will want a camera to capture the fun of fishing with us!
What should I wear?
Dress appropriately for a day on the water. Please plan for breezy conditions and a great time rain or shine by bringing a windbreaker or rain jacket. Closed toe shoes are recommended.
Are there bathrooms on board?
The Miss Oregon Inlet II is equipped with 2 bathrooms and an indoor cabin area/closed cabin area.
What if it rains?
Fortunately, the fish love the rain! Our Captain and Crew watch the forecast closely to track any incoming storms. The weather in the Outer Banks is everchanging and fortunately not all storms effect every part of the Outer Banks as they pass through. If there are inclement weather conditions and our team determines the trip is still safe to operate, we will still go out and fish! Our wonderful vessel is equip with enclosed seating areas inside the cabin safe from the conditions outside. Our passengers safety will always be our main priority, if our team determines it would not be safe to operate under the conditions we will contact you with the opportunity to reschedule for another trip or to receive a full refund per our weather policy.
What fish could you catch in the Outer Banks?
There are many different types of fish that you can spot and catch in the Outer Banks, not all of them are able to be taken home. Some of the most popular types of fish we catch on the Miss Oregon Inlet include Puppy Drum, Sea Mullet, Croaker, Trout, Spot, Bluefish, Flounder, and sometimes even Sharks!
Are Fishing Licenses required?
Good News! Fishing licenses are covered for all guests aboard the Miss Oregon Inlet II Headboat! You do not need to obtain any special permits to fish with us.
Do I need to bring my own bait & tackle?
The crew aboard the Miss Oregon Inlet II Headboat will provide plenty of bait & tackle for you and your group. You do not need to bring any extra bait or tackle on your trip.
Can I bring food & drinks on the boat?
Yes, you can bring food and beverages on the Miss Oregon Inlet II Headboat, but PLEASE DO NOT bring any glass bottles or containers. Our Headboat is a B.Y.O.B activity, assuming all participants are of legal drinking age and all parties drink responsibly.
Are tips included in my ticket price?
No, gratuity is not included in your ticket price. Please be considerate and generous with your Headboat crew. They work hard to make your trip memorable and safe! Tips are always appreciated.
