Departing from the Duck waterfront, this scenic cruise takes you across the Currituck Sound and through the historic canals and marshes of Dews Island, a former private hunting retreat now rich in wildlife and coastal charm.

Trips scheduled between November 1- April 30th will use our shuttle in place of the boat ride due to local cold water regulations
These cruises are not suitable for under 5 years old

What should I wear? +
The Vineyard Voyage trip to Sanctuary Vineyard provides a great opportunity to dress up a little and enjoy some great wine! There is no formal dress code but guests should expect to dress comfortably for the current conditions. Our boat will taxi you across the sound from the Duck Boardwalk to Sanctuary Vineyard at a fast pace. Items or clothing that is not secured could blow around or off the boat.
What should I bring? +
We will ask you to provide your photo ID prior to the wine tasting. Guests are welcome to bring food and snacks on the boat ride over. No glass containers, No alcohol onboard, and please leave your pets at home!
We will allow you to bring wine purchased from the vineyard back to the boardwalk with you, sealed.
Is there a restroom on this vessel? +
There is not a restroom on the boat. There are restrooms available before you board adjacent to our dock in the water front shops on the boardwalk and there are restrooms available when we arrive at the vineyard.
Are children allowed on this tour? +
We do allow for children to join us on this tour, the minimum age is 5 years old. However, there are not kid friendly refreshments available at the vineyard. We recommend bringing water/juice and snacks.
Are tours available in the winter season? +
Trips operate from November 1st to April 30th on our Sanctuary Shuttle. Due to seasonal regulations, the boating portion will be unavailable, but a shuttle will provide safe transport to and from the Vineyard, making it a perfect holiday activity.
