Freaker USA on Shark Tank? Freakin’ Awesome!

Kitty Hawk Kites has been proudly selling Wilmington, NC based Freaker USA products for several years now in our stores on NC’s Outer Banks, Fort Walton and Destin, FL, and Virginia Beach, VA.

Multiple times a week we here someone walk into one our retail stores, see a Freaker USA display, and immediately strike up a conversation about the company’s appearance on the hit ABC show Shark Tank. This appearance helped put the once small startup on the map, and made Zach Crain, CEO of Freaker USA, a legend.

If you’re unfamiliar with the show, Shark Tank is an American reality TV series that premiered in August of 2009 with the premise of putting entrepreneur-contestants in front of big name investors in hope of getting one or more of the sharks to invest in their revolutionary idea for a percentage stake in the entrepreneur’s company.

Some of the resident sharks include: real estate tycoon Barbara Corcoran, Canadian businessman and investor Robert Herjavec, FUBU founder Daymond John, Canadian businessman, investor, journalist, writer and financial commentator Kevin O’Leary, and outspoken Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban.

Many of the entrepreneurs who appear on Shark Tank never receive an offer from the panel of sharks, and end up leaving the pitch with no potatoes. Will Zach Crain be embraced by the panel of superstar entrepreneurs and receive multiple offers? Or will Mr. Freaker USA himself leave empty handed? Watch the video below to find out!
