Kick off a fantastic summer of fishing in 2021 with your fellow kayak anglers and Kitty Hawk Surf Company at the OBX Double Header Kayak Fishing Tournament. This event will be a CPR tournament targeting Drum and Speckled Trout and is a great warm-up event for the annual Outer Banks Kayak Fishing Tournament in September.
COMPETITION DETAILS:
Competitors are allowed to launch at first light on Saturday morning, June 26th. Fishing is allowed anywhere in North Carolina’s coastal waters, the area must be open and legally allowed to fish.
All fish must be caught from your watercraft. Wading is not permitted. This is a photo catch and release style tournament. All pictures must show the fish length from the upper lip to the end of the unpinched tail and include the custom Kitty Hawk Surf Co. badge that will be distributed during bag pick-up the day before the event.
Tournament Species: Speckled Trout and Red Drum. The double header division is one of each. No double-dipping. Fish submitted for the OBX Double Header cannot be submitted for the individual categories.
