10am to 5pm - At Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island, Fort Walton Beach, FL Come out and enjoy this two-day festival that will include demonstrations from professional kite flyers and learn to fly the great big trick kites. Fly Into Spring & Easter Eggstravaganza

Kitty Hawk Kites kicks off spring the with annual "Fly Into Spring and Easter Eggstravaganza" event! This annual spring event will be held during National Kite Month, April, on the 6th and 7th, from 10am to 4pm. The egg hunt is ONLY on Saturday the 7th, and is from 11am to 1pm.. Jockey's Ridge State Park, home to the largest living sand dune on the east coast, will host the kite festival, and the Kitty Hawk Kites store in Nags Head will host the Easter Egg Hunt! With fresh spring air and the famous Outer Banks wind, participants won't want to miss the first event of 2012!

30th Annual Rogallo Kite Festival

30th Annual Rogallo Kite Festival - Jockey's Ridge State Park (mp 12.5), Nags Head. The Rogallo Kite festival, presented by Kitty Hawk Kites, will continue honoring Francis M. Rogallo, NASA scientist and inventor of the Flexible Wing, who just passed away in September of 2009. This two day festival will feature our signature kite flying on the dunes of Jockey's ridge as well as nightly entertainment celebrating the history of kiting. Spectators can see huge kites that will take the shape of sea animals, as well as other large specialty kites flown throughtout the event. Throughout the two day festival, there will be exhibitions and demonstrations including stunt and power kite lessons, free children's games and activities, and much more! Outer Banks Sandsculpture Festival - A professional sandsculpture company will be on hand to sculpture a huge sand creation. Kitty Hawk Sports, Peace Frogs, Panama Jack Suncreen, OBX, and Outer Banks Hospital are sponsors. There will be fun events, raffles, and entertainment all day long at Kitty Hawk Sports at Jockey's Ridge Crossing shopping center across from Jockey's Ridge MP 12 1/2 in Nags Head, 252-441-6800. Kitty Hawk Kites Wright Kite Festival

Wright Brother’s Memorial (mp 8), Kill Devil Hills, presented by Kitty Hawk Kites. This festival is enjoyed by all ages with a spectacular kite show put on by Larger than Life Kites and members of Wings Over Washington. Come see a large sea animal kites and our deltas and parafoils dance in the air during this jaw dropping event. There will also be stunt kite demos, games, kids kite making and contests. Kitty Hawk Kites Watermelon Festival

Kitty Hawk Kites (mp 12.5), Nags Head. You won’t want to miss this big outdoor summer bash with a homegrown, backyard feel. The festival features family entertainment, seed spitting contests, a dunk tank, huge inflatables (moon bounces, obstacle course, and others), and, of course, watermelons! All proceeds will be donated to the local Wright Flight Foundation--a non profit which helps local 5th graders master goal-setting skills and excel (or improve) academically with the reward of flight. 13th Annual Kitty Hawk Kites Ocean Games

The 13th Annual Kitty Hawk Kites Ocean Games and Surf Kayak Competition – Ramada Plaza (mile post 9.5), Kill Devil Hills. This is some of the most fun you can have at the beach! Spectators can enjoy a surf kayak competition, catching the beginning and end of a 3 mile kayak race, and participate in sandcastle competition. Outer Banks Pirate Festival

This four day event kicks off on Thursday, with community events happening all over the Outer Banks. Enjoy spending time with pirates at local restaurans including Pamlico Jack's on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday! On Saturday at the Kitty Hawk Kites Store, MP 12.5, Nags Head, you'll see that the Pirates have set up an encampment! Become a real pirate by going through the Scallywag School for Young Scoundrels and learning how to master pirate games, use pirate weapons, talk like a pirate and more. 26th Annual Outer Banks Stunt Kite Competition

Wright Brothers Memorial (mp 8), Kill Devil Hills, presented by Kitty Hawk Kites. This competitive fly is on the Eastern League Circuit for sport kite flying and is also sanctioned by the American Kiting Association. Throughout the weekend non-competitors can enjoy workshops, demonstrations and kite making for kids. The highlights of this event include graceful kite ballet competitions set to music, and fast paced team flying that blends both kite control and speed. Hangin With Santa

Kites with Lights

Jockey's Ridge State Park (mp 12.5), Nags Head. Watch the night sky magically transform as kites with lights glow in the sky atop Jockey’s Ridge State Park. Join us for hot apple cider and cookies beginning 4pm across the street at the Kitty Hawk Kites store. Kites go up around 3pm and will be in the sky until 6pm. Kid's Day
Every Wednesday at the Nags Head Kitty Hawk Kites from 10 am - 2 pm, starting the second week of June and running until August 31. Everyone is welcome to the Kitty Hawk Kites Nags Head store at mile post 12.5 on the Outer Banks. It's filled with FREE face painting, games, kite making, and more!
